Faceing myself

I stay here and I look at my life... What have I accomplished all this years... I wonder... I guess nothing yet. I dropped one college and now I go to another (oh, well I like very much what I learn at this school) But... There is a but... I have too many years... I still wonder... do I have this age? I don't feel like I have 23, I feel like I have 17 and I also act like a teenager...but I like it... I like feeling and acting like this... could this be a problem? Is there something wrong with me? I want to belive that there is nothing wrong... I just don't wanna grow up. For me the life is still pink in a way, but just in a way cuz I do have problems and difficult times, but I always find the power to smile. I'm still naive and I do belive that life can be wonderful, and it is.

I have so many dreams and I hope that someday they'll came true, maybe not all of them, but just a few, it's enough. Ohhh... I'm such a dreamer...

The power of words

A group of frogs were traveling through the woods, and two of them fell into a deep pit. All the other frogs gathered around the pit. When they saw how deep the pit was, they told the two frogs that they were as good as dead.

The two frogs ignored the comments and tried to jump up out of the pit with all of their might. The other frogs kept telling them to stop, that they were as good as dead. Finally one of the frogs took heed to what the other frogs were saying and gave up. He fell down and died.

The other frog continued to jump as hard as he could. Once again, the crowd of frogs yelled at him to stop the pain and just die. He jumped even harder and finally made it out.

When he got out, the other frogs said: "Did you not hear us?" The frog explained to them that he was deaf. He thought they were encouraging him the entire time.

This story give us thoughts to think about:

1. An encouraging word to someone who is down can encourage them to achieve their goal.

2. A destructive word to someone who is down can have negative effects. Be careful of what you say.

So... Are your words encouraging?

Life is...

Life is a challenge - meet it

Life is a gift - accept it

Life is an adventure - dare it

Life is a sorrow - overcome it

Life is a tragedy - face it

Life is a duty - perform it

Life is a game - play it

Life is a mystery - unfold it

Life is a song - sing it

Life is an opportunity - take it

Life is a journey - complete it

Life is a promise - fulfill it

Life is a beauty - praise it

Life is a struggle - fight it

Life is a goal - achieve it

Life is a puzzle - solve it

Life is eternal - belive it

Fruits of the Spirit

It's quiet. It's early. The sky is still black. The world is still asleep. The day is coming.

In a few moments the day will arrive. It will roar down the track with the rising of the sun. The stillness of the dawn will be exchanged for the noise of the day. The calm of the solitude will be replaced by the pounding pace of the human race. The refuge of the early morning will be invaded by decisions to be made.

For the next twelve hours I will be exposed to the day's demands. It is now that I must make a choice. Because of Calvary, I'm free to choose. And so I choose.

I choose to love...

No occasion justifies hatred; no injustice warrants biterness, I choose love. Today I will love God and what God loves.

I choose joy...

I will invite my God to be the God of circumstance. I will refuse the temptation to be cynical ( the tool of the lazy thinker). I will refuse to see people as anything less than human beings, created by God. I will refuse to see any problem as anything less than an opportunity to see God.

I choose peace...

I will live forgiven. I will forgive so that I may live.

I choose patience...

I will overlook the inconvenience of the world. Instead of cursing the one who take my place, I'll invite him to do so. Rather than complaining that the wait is too long, I will thank God for a moment to pray. Instead of cleanching my fist at new assignments, I will face them with joy and courage.

I choose kindness...

I will be kind to the poor, for they are alone. Kind to the rich, for they are afraid. And kind to the unkind, for such is how God has treated me.

I choose goodness...

I will go without a dollar before I take a dishonest one. I will be overlooked before I will boast. I will confess before I will accuse. I choose goodness.

I choose faithfulness...

Today I will keep my promises. My debtors will not regret their trust. My associates will not question my word. My loved ones will not question my love.

I choose gentleness...

Nothing is won by force. I choose to be gentle. If I raise my voice, may it be only in praise. If I clench my fist, may it be only in prayer. If I make a demand, may it be only of myself.

I choose self-control...

I am a spiritual being. After this body is dead, my spirit will soar. I refuse to let what will rot rule the eternal. I choose self-control. I will be drunk only by joy. I will be impassioned only by my faith. I will be influenced only by God. I will be taught only by Christ. I choose self-control.

Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentlness and self-control: to these I commit my day. If I succeed, I will give thanks. If I fail, I will seek His grace. And then this day is done, I will place my head on my pillow and rest.

Do you belive?

One day a 6 year old girl was sitting in a clasroom. The teacher was going to explain evolution to the children. The teacher asked a little boy: Tommy, do you see the tree outside?

TOMMY: Yes

TEACHER: Tommy, do you see the grass outside?

TOMMY: Yes

TEACHER: Go outside and look up and see if you can see the sky.

TOMMY: Okay. (He returned a few minutes later) Yes, I saw the sky.

TEACHER: Did you see God?

TOMMY: No

TEACHER: That's my point. We can't see God because He isn't there. He doesen't exsist.

The little girl spoke up and wanted to ask the boy some questions. The teacher agreed and the little girl asked the boy: Tommy, do you see the tree outside?

TOMMY: Yes

LITTLE GIRL: Tommy, do you see the grass outside?

TOMMY: Yesssssss (getting tired of the questions by the time)

LITTLE GIRL: Did you see the sky?

TOMMY: Yesssssss

LITTLE GIRL: Tommy, do you see the teacher?

TOMMY: Yes

LITTLE GIRL: Do you see her brain?

TOMMY: No

LITTLE GIRL: Then according to what we were taught today in school, she must not have one!
